My core interests lie in artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, and other deep tech domains that are on the precipice of technological advancement. Due to this, it is hard to find a clear startup that I am very interested in that isn’t a quick exit.

I also understand that the lowest hanging fruit is in the B2B space. It is extremely easy to find a niche, can be much less scared of competition in this space. Alas, the greatest impact lies in the consumer space, and that is where I would like to be.

Update (Jan 22 2024)

I’d say I’ve started a bunch of pseudo-companies in the past: projects that turned profitable with a team, non-profits, etc. For those, I never felt fully bought in mostly because I didn’t have a good framework to judge opportunity cost. I spent the past 3 years in university doing internships and projects, waiting for the right problem/idea to come across my desk that I could strike on. I’m supposed to be applying to more internships for this summer right now, but it feels meaningless after I’ve learned so much about how to build great products and organizations. I’m ready to go all in on something instead of doing another menial internship and am no longer stuck on the idea that it has to be a perfect, as nothing ever is.

Please describe any barriers that may prevent you from going full-time on what’s next and how you want to overcome them. I believe it would be smart for me to complete at least this semester of school as I build out the MVP, happy to drop out afterwards if there is pull from the market. Mostly, I just need conviction in the idea and the best way to get that is to convince myself that the product is needed by selling it! This could be a long process in parallel with school. Additionally, I want to be in the US so I need to figure out how to get a visa. I heard the O1 visa is possible to game.

Currently I’m most optimistic about GrantPilot, but I’m not married to it yet. I’m also quite excited about agents doing menial tasks (emails, texts, school), and the Apple Vision Pro although I’m still trying to find a use-case for it.
