I’m going back into an exploratory phase of my life again. I’m not sure I’ve found the right thing to work on just yet. Internet Activism is quite impactful in the short term (and perhaps in the long term if my community ideologies play out well), however the work is not enjoyable. The nature of non-profits, especially Internet Activism is to help people now, which is why it’s hard to spend time on general innovation and research.
I will become the best multipurpose engineer by this time in 2024. I’ll do this by bringing fun, but hard, ideas into reality.
Generally, I think I’m a higher status person. Not because I think I’m better than anyone else, but because I’ve been at the right place at the right time so often that I’ve gotten to do very cool things throughout my life. My theme for this era will be “trading short-term low-status for long-term high-status”. I do not care what people expect of me, and I will be quite intentionally lost. When I talk to people, my main priority will be learning—even if that makes me seem stupid (other than some select highly powerful people that I won’t have constant contact with unless I “show off”). The most important part is working hard on the things I’m learning when I’m not talking to people, to demonstrate the strength of my progress.
- Electrical Engineering
- Pretty much everything I can here. Will play heavily into neurotech and low level systems like AI too.
- Mechanical Engineering
- I want general knowledge of mechanical fixtures and systems, as well as CAD design
- Software Engineering
- Embedded systems
- Low level programming (how can I utilize hardware to the max)
- AI research
- Crypto (literally only cuz of dhvani and dhrumil)
- Gonna spend a month quickly churning out web dev projects as well, just to prove to myself I can leave it with skill.
- HCI
- Just constantly creating fun prototypes of what a world would look like in the future.
