- I will encourage my kids to get interesting jobs that have community at their core. The social skills learned at McDonalds can be learned elsewhere too. There is a lot of character building in, say, a magic shop or maker-space.
- Looking good in early life is net negative. It leads to too many distractions and interfacing with the social hierarchy at a young age. Until, high school I want my kids to focus on building their character and engaging in plot. Later on, looking good becomes more important. My children will definitely have braces to account for both of these phenomenon. Probably sunscreen as well.
