    • Books are just a different art form compared to Youtube. When you read a book, you engage a lot more of yourself than just watching something. You have to obviously see it, then process the words into an image in your head. It’s more than how TV tends to be passive
    • Another thing is, reading allows you to engage with characters more than movies. When you read something, it’s easier to be exposed to a character’s thought process that you may not get in a movie or video (because videos are action driven, not thoughts)
    • Books are also longer. They take focus to get through and can take weeks to finish, so it shows some form of commitment and feels really satisfying when it’s done. Videos can’t be too long, or else they lose your attention, so at lot can be lost
    • There’s a reason why the phrase “the book was better than the movie” is correct in 95% of cases (and the 5% where it isn’t… it’s usually because the book sucks)
